Cyborg Ebook and More

Dear friends,
It's with great pleasure that I announce that the ebook edition of The Virtuous Cyborg has finally arrived! If you are one of those folks who doesn't believe in paper anymore (although I assure you, paper does exist!), please check out the digital distribution of this thoughtful book, which explores our relationship with technology through a variety of videogame examples and asks us to raise the question: are we good cyborgs?
Game Writing, 2nd Edition
One of the things that the ihobo team and I have been beavering away at this year is the second edition of Game Writing: Narrative Skills for Videogames. This anthology collection of essays by professional game writers is my most successful book but it's been out of print for a few years now because... well, because of all you people who don't believe in paper, I suppose! We will be submitting the revised manuscript in May, and the book should be coming out some time in 2021 If you wrote a chapter for the first one, please send us an updated bio! You could wait for us to contact you - we're working around everyone, slowly but surely! - but it would be nice if you got in touch all the same.
Silk: The Next Platform
The royalty statement for the first quarter of Silk landed not long ago, and Huey is very happy with how we're doing! But we're still only about halfway to the next platform. Will it be the PS4 or the Xbox One version...? I honestly don't know. So if you are keen for one of these platforms to ship next, do let us know!
For PC, there have been several small bugfixes, but no new versions as of yet. I hope to put v1.6 (the basis for the next platform edition) into production over the Summer, and will be asking supporters of the game for feature requests in a short while. But it's never too soon to let your voice be heard if there's something you'd like to see added!
March is shaping up to be the busiest month in International Hobo's 21 year history, so if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work!

Until next time,
Chris and the ihobo games team.
