Silk Player Overthrows Parthian Empire to Win Prize

It gives me great pleasure to announce that the winner of the competition to be the first player in the world to complete Silk is Sebastien Chaume, who lives in Orléans, France. He not only beat all four Destinies, but completed each of them with 100% Mastery to claim all the Steam trophies as well. His final Destiny was the Rebel - notoriously hard to beat! - but he eventually overcame the Parthians to claim victory and his prize.
Busiest ihobo Month on Record
This March was the busiest month on record in International Hobo's 21 year history, with our consultants working on eleven different game projects, as well as the ongoing work on the book (see below). Alas, we can't mention any of the games we are working on but they included some really great titles that will be available either later this year or sometime in 2021.
Game Writing Manuscript Almost Complete...
We are getting very close to completing the manuscript for Game Writing: Second Edition - all the original chapters have now been revised (and expanded with boxouts), and we are just now wrangling the new chapters. We have had one of the new chapter authors drop out, so if you are a game writer with experience in micro-narratives (that is, storytelling with limited resources e.g. mobile game stories), and you can write a chapter in less than two weeks, do get in touch! Getting your name into this book is great promotion, as you'll be alongside some major names in games writing like Rhianna Pratchett, Mary DeMarle, James Swallow, Rich Dansky, and Andy Walsh.
Stay Safe, Stay Sane
A lot of us are stuck indoors at the moment owing to the pandemic. Everyone at ihobo games would like to wish you all good health - physically and mentally. This is a tough time (especially for parents of small children!), but playing games with friends can help. As well as videogames, tabletop role-playing games can work well over webchat, and with the availability of boardgame adaptations on Steam, you could also play a boardgame with a friend. Whatever you do, don't let the isolation get to you. Hang in there - and keep going!
Chris, and the ihobo games team.
