Twenty Years of Discworld Noir

It's been twenty years since Discworld Noir, and there have been two retrospectives about it in the last month - both of which also talk about the making of Silk in one way or another. Over at Eurogamer is Graeme Mason's piece, The Making of Discworld Noir, while on Gamasutra is Jack Yarwood's Chris Bateman's journey from Discworld Noir lead to making Lords of Midnight tribute Silk. If you're a fan of Noir or of Silk, check them both out!
Silk Pre-order on Switch
And speaking of Silk, as of 2 pm UK time today, the Switch version is up in the Nintendo Shop and available for pre-order! The official release date is next week, Friday 11th October, and both the Switch and Steam versions of the game will be available to buy then.
If you are on Steam, please 'follow' Silk there, as we've been told the number of followers affects the Steam algorithm in small but significant ways.
October Speaking Gigs
I'll be speaking on a panel at Play Expo Blackpool next week (Saturday 12th October), and I will also be at a Game Republic event in Leeds on Wednesday 30th October from 4:30 pm. If you're in that neck of the woods, it would be great to see you!
In the meantime, I have to get back to testing the final release versions of Silk!
Until next time,
Chris.
